Even on a cloudy day, you can’t escape the natural beauty of the Charleston Coast. On this cold (for here) last week of winter I decided to head out to the Pitt Street Bridge for rare wildlife excursion. I don’t consider myself much of a wildlife photographer. Of course, you would have to know the birds were all hiding from the cold. Just yesterday it was a birders paradise, but that is just how it goes. Nonetheless, the cloudy, moody sky and wind created a beautiful cast on the marsh grass that I had to capture. This image was taken at the end of Pitt Street Bridge facing Sullivan’s Island with the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse in the distance.
